What the Health?
CCAP Across The Map, the acronym standing for cervical cancer awareness and prevention, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to decrease the global rate of cervical cancer through providing cervical health education and increasing access to HPV vaccines and diagnostic screening measures in under-resourced areas around the world.

There are hundreds of thousands of new cases of cervical cancer each year, but there are real people and stories behind the numbers. In this episode, we interview Erin Baughman, CCAP Across The Map's International Initiatives Team Lead, who shares her personal journey with cervical cancer. She talks about the need for regular screenings, advocating for yourself in the healthcare system, and the importance of mental health for cancer patients and survivors. We also discuss how she drew from her own experience as a cancer survivor to inspire her work at CCAP Across The Map and some of the initiatives that will help prevent cervical cancer and spread awareness around the world.
